BIOGRAPHY
Originally from the island of Tasmania, I’m based in Kent with my own Home Studio. My native accent is a warm but subtle variation of my native Australian. However, having trained in the UK and worked here for the past 20 years, I’m also often booked for projects that require an authentic British RP. Voice work includes audiobooks, commentating live medieval jousting, E-Learning projects, commercials and gaming apps and have also voiced various characters in the Dark Shadows and Dr Who Series.

SKILLS
Acting | An experienced stage actress who is often cast in strong female roles and has a flair for comedy. In classical theatre I have played roles such as Portia in the Merchant of Venice, Gertrude in Hamlet and Gremio in a re-gendered Taming of the Shrew. I enjoy character work and have played multiple characters in various productions including in "Around the World in 80 Days", Lady Cromarty a very upper class English woman in India, Sir Andrew Fallentin a crusty old gentleman who makes the bet with Fogg, Mrs Mudge the American Mormon, a sexy Irish Landlady, a salty West Country sea captain and the British Consulate at each port. . New Writing is something I love to do and have played a range of characters from a kindly nursery teacher, a shy drug addict and a drunk and furious Bride. On screen I have played roles such as an appalling Mother, a stern Police Officer, an Optometrist and various Doctors and Lawyers, as well as a Lady-Who-Lunches and a bitchy Nemesis for a short on Film4. |
Musicals | I have experience in pantomime, children's theatre and musicals - Three times I've played the Wicked Fairy in Sleeping Beauty; incuding at the Exchange Theatre, the Grange Theatre and the Marina Theatre. I've also played the Wicked Queen in Snow White twice at the Carriageworks and the Woodville Halls. I can play good fairies too having played the Spirit of the Beans for PHA in Rickmansworth. For children's musicals I've played the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker; a sexy spider, a circus flea, the Frog Queen and The Queen of the Fairies in Thumbelina; The Wicked Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid and the the Queen of the Night in an under 4 year olds show Twinkle Twinkle. I have a rich a mezzo-soprano voice with a strong belt and have sung Musical numbers, pop song and jazz numbers. |
Commentating | I was the commentator for the live Medieval Jousting Tournament at Lulworth Castle. Beginning with a six week residency we then performed at Camp Bestival for four years. I also commentate the Fun Dog Show at Biddenden Tractorfest, which I've done for the last 3 years. |
