BIOGRAPHY
I'm Dennis, a voice actor based in Southern Ontario, Canada. I've worked for more than 20 years as a university lecturer in Canada, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other international settings. I’m also a writer and content creator. With my background in educational communication and expertise in educational content writing, I'm a natural for eLearning, explainer videos, corporate narrations, and documentaries. But I've also trained with some of the best voiceover coaches out there to do gaming, commercials, audiobooks, IVR, and audio tours. I have a warm, mid-range voice with a neutral British accent and a versatility derived from my background in undergraduate theatre and experience living in diverse countries, my voice can range from professional & authoritative, mature & rich, friendly & energetic to rather dark & dangerous. From my home studio, I can quickly deliver high-quality recordings to meet your project needs. | Marc Cashman Commercial Voice Acting | "The thing that distinguishes voice acting from all the other arts is the fact that you can't see the performer - you can only hear them...The story's almost solely dependent on your voice." This is how Marc Cashman sees the art of voiceover and it was the guiding principle of my training with him, as he taught me the fundamentals of telling a story behind a microphone - finding the music in copy, transitions and vocal pivots, listening, the sounds of punctuation, creating a back story, being believable, and reading off the page. |

The body, she taught, is where our power, stamina, and determination are held.
