SKILLS
Acting | Katie Reddin-Clancy has written, performed and produced two solo theatre shows: GRACE (2018) shortlisted for BEST NEW PLAY at Brighton Fringe and KATE MIDDLETON SHOW QUEEN (2013). EDUCATION WE DIDN’T HAVE is her latest. GRACE explored the spectrum of gender through a gender fluid character. Alfie, who performed as the male half of a double act re-entered the stage… as Zora, a woman. GRACE toured: Adelaide Fringe (Tuxedo Cat), Melbourne International Comedy Festival (The Butterfly Club), Brighton Fringe (The Warren) and Edinburgh Fringe (The Gilded Balloon). KATE MIDDLETON SHOW QUEEN saw Kate Middleton’s lookalike preparing for Kate’s maternity leave. It opened at the time of the Royal Wedding and sold well at Adelaide Fringe Festival (La Boheme) and transferred to Red Bennies a 300 seater for Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Film credits include: Horatia in Hamlet (BFI), Homecoming (Austin Film Festival). Commercial work includes: Escada perfume (TV), ITV3 (TV ident), T Mobile (EU billboard campaign), Mimobot Clooci (Front cover /print campaign), Nicholas Evans (book cover), Manpower (EU billboard campaign). - “Reddin-Clancy’s acting is first-rate, and I am left wanting to see more of her.” Herald Sun - “Katie Reddin-Clancy’s prodigious acting talents make the show worth seeing.” Heckler - “A barn storming whirlwind performance… Tremendous hour of thought-provoking fun.” GScene - “A remarkable, versatile talent who sets a very high bar indeed.” Herald Sun - "The enigma that is Grace. Grace is not comedy, not cabaret, not theatre, it is all…in the body of one actor….in a gender-bending, time-melding, quick-stepping menagerie of theatrical homage. Katie Reddin-Clancy, a performer to be reckoned with, the kind of individual you couldn’t pin down if you tried. When she sings, it is wonderful… the flamboyance. Like Katie’s performance, it is indefinable, of infinite variety. Come one, come all, come down and embrace the carnivalesque world of this unique performer’s mind". The Empty Blog Space |
Comedy | Katie also writes and performs stand-up comedy, won her London heat and was a semi-finalist at the SO YOU THINK YOU’RE FUNNY comedy competition. - “Reddin-Clancy…solid comedy chops.” Broadway Baby - “The strength of this show is Katie’s razor sharp…barbed tongue and her skill as a comedian. Katie is a skilled performer with fantastic delivery – I look forward to seeing her shine.” One4Review - “Beautiful…haunting and poetic…Deliciously observed character comedy. Mesmerising and witty piece of comedy theatre. Reddin-Clancy’s performance is powerful, intelligent and funny. Go see this show for laughs and food for thought.” Mumble Theatre |
Playwright | Katie Reddin-Clancy has written two solo theatre shows: GRACE (2018) shortlisted for BEST NEW PLAY at Brighton Fringe and KATE MIDDLETON SHOW QUEEN (2013). EDUCATION WE DIDN’T HAVE is her latest. - “Her brilliance shines in the details… The writing was clever, authentic and witty.” The Advertiser - “Darn good writing throughout…great insights into life, smashing one-liners plus Reddin-Clancy is a quality performer.” Adelaide Theatre Guide |
