BIOGRAPHY
I became a voiceover artist in 2013 having previously worked in education and local television. I have a PhD in Archaeological Science, and a love of acting! I work from a professional home studio and I have experience of many voiceover genres including corporate narration, telephony, e-learning, audio tours, commercials and more. My voice has been used by brands including Bulgari, Prada, Audi, BMW, VW, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and others.

SKILLS
| Acting | I have taken both Acting 111 and Acting 112 at the Community College of Baltimore County, and passed both courses with A grades. I am a member of two theatre groups - The Caxton Theatre in Grimsby and The South Bank Players in Barton upon Humber. I have appeared in a number of productions in the UK and the US. Roles include Sheila Birling in 'An Inspector Calls', Witch in 'Macbeth', Snug the Joiner in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', Amy in 'Neighbourhood Watch' (Alan Ayckbourn), Professor Willard in 'Our Town' (Thornton Wilder), and Miriam in 'One O'Clock From The House' (Frank Vickery). I am also the lead actor in the Barton Ghost Walk. |
| Singing | I have had two years of singing training at the Community College of Baltimore County, where I also sang with the college choir. I have sung with several choirs over the years and currently sing soprano with 'Meadowsong' - a ladies a cappella choir, specialising in madrigals. |
| Languages | Although I cannot claim to speak any foreign languages fluently, I have a working knowledge of French (A at GCSE) and German (A at A/S Level), along with a little Spanish and Dutch. I have recorded a voiceover in German where the client wanted the same voiceover artist to record both the English and German versions of their script. I have recorded many (30+) audio tours over the last few years, for guided walks around numerous cities all over the world, and have had to pronounce many foreign words as part of these projects. |
| Science | My background is in Archaeological Science - I have a PhD in this and my field of study included a lot of chemical analysis. I therefore have a good knowledge of scientific and chemical words and phrases, which can be very useful when recording a technical script. |

| Voiceover training with Gravy for the Brain | I have taken a number of training courses with GFTB through their online programmes and also in person. | Voiceover Training with Edge Studios | I began my voiceover career in the USA and did my initial training with Edge Studios. This included private coaching sessions with Carol Monda, Scott Harlan, Naomi Jacobsen and Danielle Quisenberry. I also took many webinars and online classes in various voiceover genres, home studio set up, technique and performance, and aspects of running a voiceover business. |
| Voiceover training with Voiceover Kickstart | I have taken both the original Voiceover Kickstart course, and the Expert Edition, which was for a small number of professional voiceover artists who wished to progress in their careers. |
