BIOGRAPHY

Wow, writing a bio fun eh! I'm a Dublin gal living in Seattle so have developed a fairly keen ear for dialects and accents and love to mimic and play with characters. A a lover of improv, I use my improv training to bring spontaneity and playfulness to my delivery. I am also a certified yoga teacher which helps with breath management and being physical and present in a small recording space. When I'm not in my booth, you can find me hiking, kayaking or paddle boarding in the scenic Pacific Northwest soaking up the beauty of nature.

TRAINING

Voice over Training with Gravy for the Brain Recording: I really learned about the finer points of recording my voice here. everything from mic positioning and distance, posture, hydration. Studio set up: The forums with Gravy for the Brain were invaluable in guiding me to confidently build my own function booth and the information I gained on best use of my equipment from my interface to setting up Logic Pro X so my settings are set. Editing - I cannot believe that I have some mastery over this subject. It could not have been done with out the webinars, forum and speedy response from a really knowledgeable team. Business Skills: The skills needed in the world or Voice over are very specific and information that I learned here has eluded me for years. Marketing and branding - I received help and feedback and I developed my brand and logo. Gravy for the Brain is, and will be a constant resource for my continuing education in the world of VO.

Unexpected Productions Improv Have successfully completed stage one of my improv learning journey. Learning the "and, yes" mindset for improv has revolutionized how I think about life in general now. The freedom of spontaneity, opened up a rich vein of humor that was previously dormant. It's really fun bringing these skills into the booth and makes me more open to taking direction.
