CREDITS
SKILLS
ACTING | I have a BA Hons in Theatre and Performance. Confident performer. Experienced at lifting the words off a page; bringing a character to life- with a variety of accents and ages. Proficient in marking up a script. Great articulation and annunciation. I take direction very well; am a team player and self motivated and disciplined enough to work solo. Natural communicator, storyteller and narrator. Great comedy timing. With 35 years theatre experience. |
SINGING | I trained at Mountview Academy of Performing Arts graduating in Acting and Musical Theatre. I have a 3 Octave range. Powerful Belt. Strong vocal support and stamina; Flexible styles across a variety of genres. I find reading music a challenge but have a very good ear and intuitive timing. I have composed, written the lyrics and released a worship album, which has given me a greater understanding of the production side of recording. |
AUTHOR/SCRIPT WRITER | I achieved a combined degree with English. I have always enjoyed reading, storytelling and writing, finding pleasure in the ease with which words can be formed and expressed. I have written scripts and recently published my first book. I have an excellent grasp of the English language. And a sensitive interpretation of another persons work/words/script/manuscript/copy. Can learn lines quickly. |
SECONDARY PROFESSION- NURSING/MEDICAL | I qualified and worked full time as a nurse for ten years and am still active in the caring profession on occasion. I have a lot of experience in various specialities- which has given me a greater knowledge of the 'language' used in the medical world- a lot of Latin! I have encountered many situations that the average individual would rather not experience- however this has afforded me many incites and understanding of the human condition- the highs and the lows- which I have been able to tap into to bring truth and authenticity to my performances. I Learnt to use my voice to calm, comfort and command where necessary and it has saved lives. |
