My name is Sam Devereaux and I love being a voice actor. Since 2004 I’ve been creating compelling performances for character based audio projects. These include video games, audiobooks, e-learning and corporate narration. I enjoy nothing more than helping you to realise your story in the most authentic and creative way possible.

SKILLS

Acting I have undergone extensive actor training and from 2004 - 2014 I was a working actor on stage and screen. I was star of the award winning Lush Town film series, a series for which I also provided the Voice Over.
Singing I have worked on stage as a baritone singer of musical theatre, blues and pop since the age of 16. I worked with a singing teacher for many years to develop my skills and still regularly return to my teacher to tune up.

TRAINING

Drama School Training I graduated in 2004 from The Arts Educational Schools, London with a BA (Hons) Degree in Acting. During my three years at ArtsEd I was taught advanced vocal technique by some of the finest voice teachers of their time. I was also schooled extensively in radio performance, microphone technique and studio etiquette. While there I was nominated for the prestigious Carleton Hobbs Award.
Animation Training at City Lit I have been trained in vocal performance for animation by Dian Perry at City Lit. The course covered character creation development and sustained performance in studio conditions.
Video Games Training with VON I have been trained in the art of Video Games voice acting by the legendary Dave Fennoy as part of the VON course Voice Acting for Video Games.
