BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Scotland, I became a world adventurer at a very young age and have lived and worked in the UK, Latin America and the USA. Before following my passion into VoiceOver, I studied Accounting & Administration and had a successful and rewarding career working in demanding and challenging roles for senior executives who were key decision makers within the oil & gas, academic, government, investment banking, Forex trading and associated industries. I therefore have a strong business background, including a full understanding of the terminology used within these industries and all relevant skills of excellent problem solving, organization, time management to meet strict deadlines, copywriting, editing, proof-reading, public relations and project management, with discretion and confidentiality foremost. Corporate Event Management was also a major part of my roles and included large industry conferences, galas and in-company events. I traveled on business frequently to London, England and to Bergen, Norway and Baku, Azerbaijan. From a very young age I loved performing onstage in dancing shows and competitions, choir performances and piano recitals. With a love of poetry, particularly Robert Burn’s – ‘The Bard of Scotland’, at the age of eleven I won ‘The World Federation National School’s Competition’ for my recitation of ‘Tam O’Shanter’. You’ll also find me reciting at Burn’s Suppers and occasionally performing, for fun only, a quick version of the Scottish Highland Fling alongside my dear friend and international musical comedy entertainer Jimmy Keys:-) www.jimmykeys.com In my spare time I write children’s books! www.BrambleBunny.com ~~~ ~ IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING WHEN A CAREER AND PASSION COME TOGETHER ~ Giving Thanks ~ By Giving Back As a lifetime voracious volunteer, I have served in the UK, Latin America and the USA, working with animals, children, media, senior citizens and theatre. Recently, after giving a presentation on ‘Meditation’ at The Naples Players, one of the top five community theatres in America, www.naplesplayers.org I am honored and delighted to have been invited by The Sunshine Kids Foundation www.sunshinekids.org to ‘Help Children With Cancer Smile’ by creating a mind settling meditation program to help support the children and their families through tough times. ~~~ "PASSIONATELY EMBRACING MY PURPOSE OF A PHILANTHROPIC FUTURE" ~ Susan L.
